Abstract

Part I of the Act deals with the preliminary and general interpretation.
Part II deals with the board of committees regarding the establishment of a board and its functions. A poison committee is also established under section 8.
Part III deals with the registration and examination. Part IV relates to pharmaceutical trade. Section 21 deals with prescriptions and section 22 with dispensing of prescriptions and section 25 with the import of drugs.
The Import and sale of poisons are included in Part V of the Act.
Part VI deals with the therapeutic substances and Part VII with the manufacture of pharmaceutical products including the licence for manufacture, quality control and storage and samples.
