Abstract
This Act deals mainly with the manufacture, handling and care of explosives. Section 5 provides some precautionary measures to be taken against fire or explosion. The control of explosives is dealt in section 6 of the Act and the imports permits in section 7.
Every notice of intended import shall be given by virtue of section 8 together with a permit to remove explosives (section 11)
An application for store licence is required under section 14. The purchase and sale of explosives are dealt in sections 17 and 18 respectively.
The police have wide powers of arrest and search for explosives together with its seizure.
