Pests and diseases management
Scout for pests and diseases every two days after transplanting.
Eggplants major disease: Damping off, Bacterial wilt, Verticilum.
Preparation of seeds
Fill polypots with media/substrate made up from the following composition: 3 parts of top soil, 2 parts of cattle manure and 1 part of coconut coir. The coconut coir must be sterilized by steam for 2 hours. Allow it to cool down to ambient temperature.
Conditions to grow eggplants
Fertilizer application and harvesting
Weed the plot before each fertilizer application.
