The database « harmful organisms » will centralise all information concerning the phytosanitary context of each of the IOC countries, mainly through inventories. These inventories are based on existing bibliographies and on samples collected from the field.
The database will deal mainly with diseases and harmful organisms, including quarantine organisms (with illustrations and descriptions) and, for each of these, the control methods available as well as the known parasitoids.
Among other uses, the database will make it possible to :
- put in evidence all the harmful organisms observed on a plant or in a given geographical zone (village, region, country)
- consult the taxonomic classification of a harmful organism or a host plant.
- Have access to the control methods used against a pest in a region or country.
The data base will be accessible to the public through this page.
